Tuscola, IL | The most shocking thing is hearing the 170 hp (whether it’s red or blue) described as more reliable. You know exactly what you’d be getting with the 250 as the 280 is the same machine. Seems overkill for what the blue machine is doing right now but there is value in having a backup to the 280. Wouldn’t hurt to go fishing with the blue tractor and set a price you think is too high and see if there are any bites. The blue tractor is worth more now than it probably ever will be but the 250 is probably priced higher than it should be as well so that’s pretty much a wash. How easy would it be to move the 170 in your area? Here it would be next to impossible. That series machine never sold around here even when they were new. I liked the tractor but hated working on them. But only having 2 or 3 of them around made experience on them pretty short. | |
