With 12" samples you roughly have 100 pounds average out there. Any idea what your organic matter average is? OM x 20 will give you an approximate number of pounds of N that should become available this summer. 200 bushel corn needs about 225 pounds N and 240 needs almost 270 lbs. So say 270 - 100 - (OM x 20) = pounds needed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or way wrong.
