NW Iowa | In South Dakota I saw the results of one combine running into the back of another combine. The front combine was parked on the edge of a wide open harvested wheat field. It was in the wide open, no trees, no obstructions. The reel from the rear combine was draped over the top of the front combine like a wet noodle. The driver of the rear combine was standing beside the combine staring at the ground. This happened over 15 years ago so there was no texting or auto steer. I never did hear why it happened. | |
