| I always think it's kinda pathetic how many people won't go to their HS reunion because someone was a jerk to them 30 years ago. People grow and change. And if not, there will be plenty of other people there for you to talk to besides the few people you don't like. There might be people out there who have some not-so-fond memories of you that have forgotten about. Showing up as a mature adult might change their perception of you. The purpose is to reconnect with people you haven't seen in a while. Not having your buddies there - who you likely have seen more recently than everyone else - is missing the entire point of having a reunion.
Like others have said, the rent for the venue and other associated costs need to be covered, not just the food. If it's not a hardship, go to the reunion. I doubt you'll regret it. | |
