northeastern Ohio | I've went to all the class reunions that my class put together. We didn't have our 30th due to Covid.
Usually the committee will plan it so that dinner is optional. Some people don't have the funds for a fancy dinner at a fancy venue. Those that do, will arrive first and have the overpriced dinner. Then about a hour later, the rest of people will arrive and we can all mingle. Sometimes we all go somewhere else after the dinner. Bonfires are popular and free with BYOB.
The class behind me had a 30th last summer, so I asked their committee if I could attend since I had a lot of friends in that class. They told me they wanted to keep the catered dinner strictly class members, but I could come afterwards to socialize. Worked for me! Had a great time catching up with a lot of people I hadn't seen in 30 years. | |
