I’ve put on both styles and they both work good with about equal install time.
What’s the condition of your horizontal auger, if it’s getting questionable replace the whole auger and tube with a 6.4m auger like a 2588 had factory. Also make sure your divers helmet and vertical tube are up to snuff.
