Many people take them off for corn and put them back in for soybeans. Also you need to leave it on the corn setting for corn and soybeans. The wheat setting is for small grains only. Have left them off for soybeans in the past, not a great sample with them in or with them out, 9870 is much better.


I don't have a dog in this fight, but why does it seem like everyone complains about sample quality when they move up to the S series??

We still run a 9660, and it gives us nice samples in corn or beans. All stock threshing components, round bar concaves.
