Subject: RE: “Entertaining” kids in church

I agree with getting the younger kids involved in church activities.    Make church interesting for them without doing something against scripture obviously.   I'm now a member of a Baptist church that goes all out for youth activities and it shows.   I switched churches 6 1/2 years ago, prior to that I was an elder in a Reformed church.

The old people in the Reformed church were so against doing anything that the younger crowd would enjoy that you couldn't even have a church picnic in the park.   They insisted it had to be in the  church basement or some people won't come.   I kept telling them if you gear all your functions towards old people that's all you'll have left after a while and that's what's happening.
