Western OK | The .35 caliber post got me curious about the different rules in the different areas of the country.
Is the reason for the shotgun or straight case rule just to limit distance in the more densely populated areas?
Here the rule is- minimum .22 caliber, minimum 55gr bullet weight, maximum mag capacity 7rnds, but the way I read it is the mag capacity only applies to.22 cal.
Our deer don't get real big compared to up north. I started out with a .243, but now I use a cz 223 carbine. I like it because it is super light and I don't have any problems taking down deer out past 250yrds.
The AR-15 has gotten real popular around here, lots of guy use them for hunting not only deer but wild hogs. I have a couple but I still reach for the cz every time...
I bought my oldest boy a Henry single shot 243, this will be his first year. | |
