n.c.iowa | Yea, high ph. Admittedly it's rare, but does happen. Obviously it is more prone to be seen in the year after a dry application year.
typically only see a spot here or there in the high ph spots, but last year there were several thousand acres of damaged soybeans, whole fields in fact. Most of them, although not all were seed corn fields in 2020. The company requires the growers to use impact at the full 1oz rate.
depending on which direction 75 miles is from us, it’s entirely possible to be in a totally different soil type, especially east of us.if you’re are selling product in this area, be mindful of that.
we had some retreats to do here, and I’ve been resisting the reps recommendation of going in with 2oz of armezon/impact. Been using diflex instead.
also just back from the first field I’ve seen that entire 36 rows of headlands of one of my fields looks to have killed off with enlist..always something. |
