Central Nebraska | Several years ago my 4430 couldn't hold its rate. It spent most of its time at 1 to 1.5 gallons below my target rate of 15 gpa. We checked filters, changed the pump cartridge, updated software and didn't make any progress. Went so far as cleaning all the electrical grounds on the machine and all that did was help the engine turn over better when starting it. One day while cleaning out the machine I noticed that the fitting on the top of the tank that has a hose that goes to the top of the pump was plugged and barely spitting water out. I cleaned it out and my rate control as been spot on ever since. I'd encourage you to fix the fitting on the top of the pump and route it to the top of the tank. |
