Also what to charge depends on how good and thick his hay is. Good hay makes baling for someone with your time, sorry and thin hay with small windrows makes you burn more diesel fuel than you need to. How good of neighbor would be a determining factor also for me ( not saying do it for free, but would they come to your rescue one day ).
+1, also how rough, I have done it already where baling 2nd crop on rough ground and can only get 12 bales an hour, last time I decided now will go by the bale or the hour whichever is more next time I bale for someone.
