nc ia | Back when the round bar came out neighbor had it behind a field cultivator. A heavy rain came up after planting and wind cut the corn off by the blowing dirt. The round bars packed the soil too tight. Then the local dealer started selling flat bars. It seems the round was for very dry conditions to seal moisture in, but early spring of year with damp soils the flat would leave the soil more fluffy to dry out and tear corn root balls up so just roots with out a lot of dirt to protect from wind. | |
