Grundy County, IL | We have nixed the second round of spraying and gone back to cultivating right before canopy. (NOT HERE FOR THE SPRAY VS CULTIVATE ARGUMENT) I have done all the cultivating with my 4020 and 6-30 IH 183 Danish tine. We are looking to get a second cultivator to put on the 4430, there just isn't enough time to get it all done with the single machine.
Will a 4430 handle a folding 12-30 CIH/IH 183 Danish or a JD 845 12-30 folding on the 3-pt without lift assist wheels? Tractor has a full rack of front weights and an extension fuel tank up front which adds weight. I will also add that the hydraulic pump is freshly rebuilt and we have not had trouble with the 3-pt sinking down. I am not objected to finding lift assist wheels but if I can avoid them I sure would like to. We only see 1 12-30 in our area for sale with the lift assist wheels equipped.
