Subject: RE: Hiniker vs Deere field cultivators

live in Spfd, farm located NW Macoupin county
The Hiniker 1224 and JD1000 that I had were similar looking and mounted to the bar the same but that is where the similarity ended. The JD shank had an eye to hold the bushing and were easy to replace. They also had a bolt to adjust the spring tension/compression.
The Hiniker shank bolted to a bracket which held the bushing and the spring tension had a slot to adjust the tension/compression; not much adjustment.
The Hiniker bars were closer together and it seem to "carry" more which made it good for leveling the field which in turn made it pull harder.
