swMN | Y-tex seems the best for me, last year I used ytex tags and z tag ink, that's all I could find, that dont work, by the time we hauled pairs out you couldn't read the calves tags, when I have time I wipe the tags off with rubbing alcohol, especially on the heifer calves, I have heifers here from 5-6 years ago, I can just read them yet.
Edit: I also write the numbers twice, do it once, let dry, do it again. Friend uses small white tags with black pre numbered tags for birth order, when all else fails you go to the calving book and look for that number.
