If your corn was V7-V8 about like mine was your crop will be short that many leaves when it pollinates an no it will not completely canopy. You will think you have a seed corn field as you look over the tassels at ground level. I don't care what the university's charts say 150 is optimistic. Not seeing the extent of the damage and recovery, mine did 60-80 bu. Lots of other issues too with harvest and how plants developed.

Again, forget about stressing the corn. You will have a major weed problem esp. waterhemp if you don't control the seeds. With the heat and prior to silking I don't think I would use either dicamba or 2-4,D , even with drops. I'd hit it hard right after brown silking. Impact would be much safer alternative, maybe more expensive, if you could add warrant with it and not against label, that may be a good combo although impact/ armezon may have some residual. My email is good. I would consult your chemical rep for his opinion also.
