My 2008 1250 planter came with the sensors that were like the old-style Christmas tree lights, going from sensor to sensor.  I removed them and installed a Precision Planting harness, Dickey John seed sensors and a 20/20.  That made a big difference.  The next biggest change was going to Precision Planting wavevision sensors I got from a friend of mine.
