North of London | Curious what they required for wood heat?
I know some insurance here have lots of requirements or just refuse to insure.
Of course some people do not understand the risks and the precautions you need to take.
House next door had a wood stove when new owners bought it they discovered the heat protection behind it was brick wallpaper on chip board.
then there was the new owner who took the ashes out of the stove and put them in a cardboard box and set it in a plastic wheel barrow in the garage and laid down for a nap.
They had not moved in to the house yet as they were doing some painting before moving in.
So 9 months later they moved into a brand new house
At least he woke soon enough to get out thanks to a smoke alarm | |
