Subject: Commercial Farm Truck Insurance:

North Central Oregon
I have 4 trucks on a commercial truck policy for the farm. 2 are single axle grain trucks (FL70 and old Dodge 600) as well as a GMC Brigadier tractor and 2006 Freightliner single axle day cab tractor. 90+% of the time they are within a 10 mile radius of the farm going between fields hauling grain, water or pulling a spray trailer. Maybe 2 times a year the day cab will pull a 30’ gooseneck trailer 120 -150 miles one way to pick up farm supplies. Also on the policy is a 30’ gooseneck, and two grain trailers - 20’ and a 30’. The old Dodge gets about 150 miles a year max, the FL70 400 miles, the Brigadier 400 miles, and the Freightliner Day cab 1500 miles. No claims, no incidents but the price on the policy bumped up to over $6000 a year. In the past it was running between 3k-4K. Is 6k reasonable or should we be looking for another provider. Have had a good relationship with our agent, and they were very apologetic for the bump in price.
