Some good points have been made:
No, they aren’t there all the time. Plan to find additional help.
Plan ahead as best/soon you can. Know what the patient wants - DNR order, pain management, etc.
The nurses we dealt with were great.
Also, although it’s difficult - listen to them. They really do know when the end is coming. There are clear signs, and trusting them helps to make decisions when you need to. | |
