I have an 80 ft sprayer and unless I have no obstacles on my headlands (power poles, trees, fencelines, etc...) I will spray an extra pass so I have 160 ft to turn on. I only plant 80 ft of headlands so my extra spray pass I will be driving across the rows but I'd rather drive over some corn rather than take the chance of hitting the boom on a power pole.
