Subject: Moth ball fumes

Champaign, IL
At Camp, over winter, I store two Honda Ranchers. Yearly, pre season maintenance, is to clean out the mouse nests that are made in the air filter enclosures. Last year, one air filter was full of acorns, and this year, the leaf mess in one filter included, pink, baby mice. WTF. If I put moth balls in the filter enclosures in the fall, will the fumes that come off the moth balls cause any damage to the internal parts of the carburetor or engine?
