Sw WI | It can be done, but you will have about the same money in retrofitting a conventional planter as buying a conservation.
The Conservation planters have a heavier bar, hydraulic markers, HD downpressure and individual cylinders on each lift wheel. If you plan on no-tilling with a non-conservation I would recommend heavier down pressure springs, or something that will provide 300lbs of pressure.
Leaving a mark with the old cable phasing system on the conventional planters can be a challenge, I would add some weights to the end of the markers; be aware this will cause your phasing system on the markers to wear out prematurely.
