Caraway, AR | This morning at the local hangout question came up about battery amps: we know that if two batterys are hooked in parallel the voltage stays the same and if they are hooked in series the voltage = the sum of both batterys. (12+12=24) The question is what happens to the amps in similar wiring arrangements. Do they add together or stay the same . Lets just say two 500 amp batterys in parallel and then in series. What would the total amps be......and why. Thanks, John |
