We just finished planting several acres in dry dirt. It took a pretty vivid imagination to do so. As mentioned above, if we get at least a half inch with the first rain that comes we will be in good shape. If the first rain is just a tenth or two, not so much. But, these are insurable here, which makes our decision different than your situation.
