It all depends on temperature as to how long it can hang on before it starts to lose bushels. If temperature are more moderate, like mid to upper 80s and nighttime Temps in low 60s, it will go more than 36 days. If it continues hot and windy like it has been , then 4 weeks. Under the right conditions, corn can root down more than 5 feet.
