North Central Montana/ SW Sask | Well, I was born and raised in Canada.
I moved to the States when I was 28 with my wife and two kids.
Had our other two kids in the US, with no health insurance.
When we moved back from Tennessee one of the big reasons we stayed on the US side of the border was because of health care.
Canada has terrible care.
It was always a big election issue. "No two-tier health care" like the awful US. Can't be like the Americans.
Which is ironic because Canada already has two-tier health care. Those that can afford to go to the US and those that can't.
People from Saskatchewan come down to Havre, MT and tell me how great the care is there. It is so funny because those of us in MT go anywhere but Havre because we think is sucks.
My Dad (Canadian) explains it this way. "The level of care we receive in Canada is free in the US too." Let that sink in. |
