I think army worm damage in fall of 2021 carried over to this year for sure. A wet cool spring made for slow growth and now extreme heat and dry have all added up to a short hay crop this year. Add in the fact that lots of cow calf producers in NW TN didn't fertilize this year due to prices I predict a train wreck coming this winter with hay supplies.
