Your wife's feelings are real.  Be there to encourage and help in any way you can.  You care because you love her, and what hurts her, hurts you also.  Don't become bitter towards your in-laws.  To soon they will be gone.  As others have stated.  You can only control you attitude.  It will take some time, because life is not promised to be easy.  But if you believe in the Heavenly Father,  He asked us to give our burdens we carry to Him.  And that is a daily thing.
