nw NC | In 2015 when we were in Minnesota on a vacation to visit my wife's family, I visited a farmer just south of Ogilvie in east central Minnesota. We made a tour around in his area. One place he showed me was a gravel operation. Pictures below show that the gravel bearing material was near the surface of the land. All the gravel was smaller, smooth rounded shape stones left there by water flow at some time.
