You can do what SSKoug says and add a compactor run after every foot of fill.You wont get that settling of earth.I have done a couple of these rescues.One I put internal columns like the I beam idea and attached to sill and rebar into the floor ,,works but not the solution..The solution is great drainage,nice back fill,waterproofing wall.As you know the issue is water .Both the rescues I did were walls I built decades before,,,I wont use block any more,,concrete foam block is the way now.


I would never have the guts to run a "compactor" close to the block wall
