Sioux County, NWIA | Reminds me of an incident that happened locally some years ago. Guy we knew that was a Vietnam war vet, and somewhat off his rocker (various possibilities why), made some sort of disturbance that resulted in the county deputies being called in. He stepped out of his door carrying a 2 barrel shot gun, and apparently was set to shoot at the law enforcement. The deputies dove for cover and one shot the guy fatally from under his vehicle. While I don’t fault law enforcement for acting as they did, I alway thought that tragic ending was preventable. | |
