IL near StL | Short answer, no but intend on getting a good handle on it when we get finished. I did dry a little bit last year but that was the first time we had done any and I don't even remember what it ran me but it really wasn't much. I do know that every day a stubble bean doesn't get planted this time of year dings you 1 bushel. We also have 2 mills relatively close as well as the STL river market. Mill wheat can earn a decent premium over the river and it is easier to get if you can keep the wheat from getting rained on. Chances for rain mid week, good weather now, more wheat than usual, right or wrong we're cutting. I'll report back on the cost when we get finished. | |
