Buffalo IL | I've tried to post 2 times earlier and failed, because I bumped the wrong button on the phone. First thing straight alfalfa will always out produce most mixes. It takes high management. You need to spray and fertilize accordingly. Straight alfalfa the does not make the best ration for cows. A blend is better. Cows won't eat an alfalfa bale before a grass bale.Depends on your program. If you need something that flat puts tons out and on poor ground. My poor ground is better than most good ground on this forum., Has been this Gv20 mix that I will post label. It's a mix you plant 25-30 lbs per acre. It costs me 170 dollar per 25 lb bag. It has pertenial rye 8n it. That's going to come up first and will be get coarse of 6ou can't get it cut in time. i'm going 5o post a pic of it I bales earlier this week. I got 65 bales of 5X6 bales off 15 acres, 12 bales off 2.5 acres, 23 off 5 acres. It did need to be moved sooner and it's hard to get dry, but you are dealing with a lot of volume. That pic is on timber soil with a sand ridge in it. You also need to fertilize accordingly and you can not get your fingers in those bales. They are over 1750 lbs. Sorry rotated first pic the wrong way.
