W Texas | Just saw one video of a lot of deads and one striking thing was about 99% solid black hided. Saw a couple of reds and only one white hide. All the cattle appeared to be very close to harvest weight, although bloating could give a false impression.
Driving around the feed lots for years I’d say the average mix is only about 70% solid black hides in western KS currently. Wondering if anyone can verify the breakdown in hide color or has any comments. | |
