Western Ontario | Kind of unrelated but Ontario has a terrific Mennonite resource with some welding manufacturing shops that are mind boggling. I had a drive line part I needed last week for a John Deere disk bine, all I really needed was an over running clutch but of course had to buy a complete assembly from Mother Deere that included the universal joint, $1800 Can ( $1450 US). Found a Mennonite that does driveline/pto stuff and he sourced an over running clutch, machines the old one off, machined and welded the new one on in an hour. Charged me $60 Can for the hour of shop time ( $48US ) and was thrilled to do it in a Saturday morning, the part was $300.
