Kind of going back to where we were 150 yrs ago. If you look at an old plat book from our area (NE IL) back in the late 1800s to early 1900s, you'd see section after section after section with just one name on it, or an obvious relative's name. Mostly those names are now gone except in the memory of a few that either rented from them or knew of them. 

Maybe it's just a roller-coaster thing and we're on the climb to one of the peaks right now.

However, I personally don't like any foreign based ownership.

Gates is 66 yrs old & what are the plans when he's gone? Wife is on her own & there's 3 unmarried kids, I think.
