$75K is too low of a figure today. Most good techs make that in wages then you have payroll tax, health ins, 401K plans with match, uniforms,vacation time, training time, any bonus" . Plus shop charges such as utilities, computer charges, insurance, shop vehicles, fuel ,oil, tires etc. Not cheap to run a good shop. add 25k
