Another monthly bill had more service. A winter special to do all maintenance at fixed price, added complete change of hydraulic oil and filter, and a on farm service call that I was present on the farm and knew when they came and left. Going through the bill deducted the winter maintenance, knew the service call hours, charge, and generous travel and prep cost, and the rest of hours was draining hydraulic oil. It came out to 9 hours to drain the oil and replace one filter. There was no way that bill was padded beyond rounding.
If you charge hourly, charge by the hour. Shop shenanigan stories should stay in the automotive world. | |
