I bought a Kovar tine weeder this spring and am trying it out some. It fills in my guidance grooves, so I prefer to rotary hoe instead if I can still achieve good weed control.
Blustery, try removing the tines or tieing the ones up where your cultivator guidance path is. Its amazing the difference I see on the ground that I tined vs not. Did not run my hoe this year though...
