S.E. Sask. | 88 was the big one. Tremendous heat burned up the crops with only a little rain to keep us going. Poorest, shortest and lowest yielding crops I ever harvested. Nothing like that this year. Its actually cooler than normal. Down to 63F in my house this morning and I had to put on an extra shirt to keep warm. Not going to start the furnace in June. We are getting adequate, and is some cases excessive, rainfall so far so the crops are doing great. |
