West Central MN (between MMF and Larson's) | Did 10 days in Hawaii with the family. My parents have wintered there for about 20+ years and we were the only ones to not visit. We got home about 10 days prior to the Covid lock downs.
Landed in Oahu and spent a day at Pearl Harbor the next day. Arizona memorial and USS Missouri. We then hoped a quick flight to Maui. Was a great trip. We stayed in Kehei.
Coasted a bike down Haleakala, watched the surfers at Paia. Watched the Whales jump in the Bay every morning while I had breakfast. Went on a whale watch. Walked on the beach. Found out my youngest gets motion sick on the drive to Hana. Black sand beach. Sea turtles on the beach. Sand castles, boogie boards, Got to visit my folks too.
Everyone…..wife, all 3 kids, and myself had a good time. Saved airline miles so was about the same cost as most vacations |
