Wisconsin | You have to realize, that the mass hysteria has changed, I mean the public opinion has shifted. Basically most people are ignorant and follow shiny objects. If you look at when cars took over from horses, society went a little crazy for a number of years, and then readjusted. Cars didn't go away and horses didn't come back, even if horses made more sense for many jobs. The tide had turned and nobody was going to project success by following the old ways, had to be new and get with the program. Even the most dedicated stalinist bidenite will agree that the push to promote cars damaged passenger rail service and urban mass transit. The only difference here is the degree it's being govt mandated.
Not saying that EV can't work for commuters that do 20 miles each way, but if you want to say EV's and the infrastructure will work, then there are lots of other things that would work too, doesn't have to be an F150 to make a commute. Maybe we just need to spend more money on buses? make em electric and cool*** | |
