| Here is what I found out. 80% of energy comes from fossil. 80% of electricity comes from fossil fuel. less than 1/2 of fuel used in transportation is cars. So .2 times .2 times .5 is .02 is the energy converted to green energy by EV's. Plus the cost of about 80% of making anything is the energy required. And taking account of that the average conversion of electricity for the power station converted to Mileage by electric cars is about 50%. ( Loses in transmission from power plant, battery charging and discharge plus hills, bad weather. stop and go driving.) So another .20 times .5 times .02 is a total savings of .002 by electric cars.
