SC Sask | I think he is saying that the enormous energy efficiency of the EV's is a cherry picked number. Getting power from the grid is only part of the energy equation. If you showed up the full fuel cycle efficiency it would be more of an apples to apples comparison. Now I will admit that having a single large LNG power plant supplying power to the grid will be more efficient then having 10,000 IC engines completing the same process. but that cuts the stated efficiency of EV's down a lot, closer to the point where it is personal preference rather then "settled science" | |
