I just ease them through a manual headgate. No pressure just let them go at their own pace.

Even the old school longhorns get through ok if let go at their own pace. I have no trouble at all with the Hereford horns.

Back before I had any cows I was helping a guy work cows. He told me I needed to act like I had all day and I’d be fine. That was great advice.
