I keep a 1/2 gallon jug of biodiesel on the porch handrail to monitor the outside temperature in the winter. The "biodiesel weather observation jug" goes cloudy in the lower 30s F and solid around 0 F. I often post a photo on Facebook and Instagram to let my friends know if they will need a heavy coat, or a hat with ear flaps, or if they should just stay home.

Now with the value of fuel extremely high I decided to add some security. A security system is only as good as the weakest link. But you have to start somewhere.
