Subject: RE: Power washing hog barns

Latimer, Iowa (north central)
The crew that washes ours have several of the standard roll in, i think about 2500 psi, 5-7 gpm washers, and one that is self contained in its own trailer with a diesel engine. The one big washer with high psi and high gpm will out wash two regular ones easily. The washer will outrun a standard garden hose so it has a 500 or so gallon surge tank in trailer that it runs out of. It takes two guys to run it as one guy takes a break and one washes, very hard to hold onto. They do a better job with the big one too. If you are going to wash regularly, several days a week. the big washer is a no brainer. We purchased our regular washer, 20 years ago, from the guys in Goldfield IA mentioned by Johnny and they are very knowledgeable. They can build washing setups and sure they would be able to get you whatever the best currently is.
