southern MN | Minnesota comes in 5th flattest.
It’s funny how one can view things.
My county is quite flat, as my farm is near the bottom drainage of the county, and I have a hill that is only 20 feet shorter than the highest point in the county.
Tho the joke was, when we got a combine with quick tach heads The salesman said just park on a flat spot, and dad said well there really isn’t a flat spot on the farm.
Which is about true, every 100 feet leans one way or the other, it averages out pretty flat but the farm is kind of like a ski mogul run. Got a few hills the wife doesn’t like to run the tractor on.
Then, the river actually carved out our own Grand Canyon here, the minnesota River basin is 200 feet deeper that the surrounding landscape, so that’s quite a drop off. The 2 sides of the county are quite a steep drop down.
So, it’s flat, if you average out the hills. :)
